A project to document Reuven Rubin’s complete body of oil paintings and sculptures - the Reuven Rubin Catalogue Raisonné - has recently been initiated. It will serve as the authoritative documentation on the artist, being also, to the best of our knowledge, the first catalogue raisonné for an Israeli artist.

Catalogue entries will include detailed provenance of each and every painting, exhibitions, and literary publications in which it has been illustrated or cited.

The project will be conducted over a number of years, and will incorporate comprehensive international research of all of Rubin’s works. The catalogue raisonné will be an invaluable resource to scholars, collectors, and art dealers.

In the future only a listing in the catalogue raisonné will ensure a painting’s authenticity, so that registering works of art in the catalogue is indeed in the best interest of every Rubin collector.

Current owners of Rubin works are encouraged to both contact the Rubin Museum and fill out a form regarding the Rubin work(s) in their collections. If you currently possess an original work by Rubin, please complete the form on this website – one form per work of art. For those who prefer to communicate via email, please state the name of the work(s) in your collection, size(s) and type(s) of work (oil on canvas, drawing, watercolor, sculpture, etc.) and your full contact information.
Collectors who wish to remain anonymous should kindly indicate so and their wish will be fully respected.
